When Social Goes Sideways: How to Turn Your Relationship with Social Media (and Jesus) Rightside Up
A Christian Non-Fiction Book
We know our relationship with social media isn’t a healthy one. It steals our free time, distracts us from what we value most, and always seems to set our emotions on edge. But our social media habits are also causing spiritual damage, fixing our eyes on everything this world has on offer rather than on Christ.
Some say we should just delete all our accounts and be done with it, but for most of us, this isn’t realistic. Instead, we can learn new habits of use that put Jesus back on the throne in our lives and help us grow in our Christian walk.
By breaking down how social media platforms function and the behaviors they encourage, this book shows us how to use social media with intention. It provides practical steps we can take to deepen our relationship with Jesus while engaging with the social media-fueled world we live in.
I am writing this book with Christian young adults (ages 18-30) in mind, and am currently working on the first draft of the manuscript. If you want updates on my writing progress (and other exciting projects) or to be notified when it is released, join my email newsletter list!

Christian Meets Culture
A YouTube Channel
The YouTube channel Christian Meets Culture was born in April 2026 out of a passion for teaching young adults how to engage with culture in a biblical way. While Christian young adults often have a desire to follow Jesus, many are unsure how their faith should shape their actions as they interact with the secular culture around them. Some young adults respond by giving up on discernment and immersing themselves in the world, while others respond by withdrawing from culture completely. Neither response is biblical.
In my late teens and early 20s, I had many questions about how my faith should influence my approach to the world around me. Does it matter what media I’m consuming or creating? Is it wrong to get involved with politics? Is hustle culture good or evil? I’ve learned many lessons over the past decade, and want to come alongside others as we navigate the new challenges culture continues to throw at us.
My educational videos cover topics in the areas of Christian living in a digital age, political engagement from a biblical perspective, and ideas shaping our cultural identity. I upload a new video every second Wednesday.
